ValuePenguin (www.valuepenguin.com), an NYC-based media start-up, is looking for a staff writer. We help readers make better informed decisions when it comes to how they're spending their money. We conduct original research to publish informative reports and tools on a variety of personal finance topics.

Job Description

The staff writer will be researching and gathering data, developing analyses, sourcing interviews, writing and marketing content. As the role progresses, the staff writer will be responsible for brainstorming and developing ideas for feature articles from beginning to end.

Requirements:

The ideal writer must be fact-driven, analytical, and able to communicate ideas effectively. You must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who is comfortable with adapting and multi-tasking across several deliverables. BA/BS in Journalism, Communications, or Finance are preferable, with two years or less of professional experience.
