i-Italy is the largest multimedia network in English dedicated to Italy, based in New York City. It is made of:

A web portal (www.i-Italy.org),
A bi-monthly free-press magazine circulating 50,000 copies in New York (here is the pdf version of the latest issue: www.i-italyny.com/magazine/2016-02_03)
A weekly TV show airing every Sunday on NYCTV, Channel 25, the Public Broadcasting Station of the City of New York, available on demand on our WebTV (i-italyTV.com) and YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/iitaly)
A very active social network centered on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/iitaly).

We are a group of journalists, academics and “public intellectuals” determined to create an authoritative point of encounter, information, and debate on the Internet concerning Italy and Italian America.

i-Italy is a TV, a print magazine and a multimedia, bilingual web project which focuses on three major fields:

1) Information and discussion on current, social and cultural events: with the areas “Magazine” and “Multimedia,” where articles, movies, photos and audio files are published;

2) In-depth examination and cultural debate: with the areas “Op-eds” and “Specials,” which host opinions, comments, columns, analyses, and reviews;

3) Community building/social networking: with the areas “Bloggers” and “Community,” where all readers can freely present their own experiences and opinions with personal pages, forums, discussion groups.

Job Description

The National Italian American Foundation and i-Italy have partnered to offer 2 internship opportunities for recent graduates interested in building the basis for a career in media while furthering their proficiency in the Italian language. This internship aims to give recent graduates a strong basis for their entry into the workforce and a robust first work experience on their resume. The internship will be part-time at the i-Italy headquarters in New York City with full Italian language immersion. Interns will report to i-Italy five days a week including some weekends and holidays. Interns will be provided a $1,000/month stipend. Duration of internship: 10 months.
