Job Description

Soko Glam is looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented and resourceful Content & Social Media Writer (Temporary) to join The Klog team. The Klog (theklog.co) is a Korean beauty content site that is your inside source for all things Korean: beauty trends, culture vibes, and skincare expertise. The Klog is a Soko Glam project.

This opportunity does not qualify for academic credit, but it is a paid writing opportunity.

The right candidate will be a self-starter who is enthusiastic about beauty and passionate about content and social media. He/she will work with The Klog’s content team to assist in all internal needs of a growing startup: from helping creating content to support our brand initiatives to assisting in photo shoots and PR events. Responsibilities include:
Assist with researching monthly article concepts on beauty and lifestyle.
Create content to support both Soko Glam and The Klog brands’ initiatives.
Engage with our community across content and social media channels.
Assist with tracking traffic trends.
Assist with social media and article-related photo research.
Assist with photo and video production.
Pitch and write articles.

Key Qualifications & Experience Requirements
Student currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or any related field.
Strong writing and communication skills.
Extremely organized and detail oriented.
Scrappy and fearless attitude towards unchartered territory.
Self-starter who is willing to pitch in and work in cross-functional teams.
Excels in fast-paced, high-volume and deadline-driven environment.
Passionate about beauty and The Klog. We are a small team and need someone with a positive attitude that loves to juggle multiple projects at once.
Availability to work in our NYC office a maximum of 20 hours per week.
