Launched in March 2006, Hearst Digital Media, a unit of Hearst Magazines, is dedicated to creating and implementing the digital strategy for Hearst's magazine brands and other sites, which serve the company's consumer audience. The unit oversees nearly 20 websites.

Job Description

ELLEDECOR.com and housebeautiful.com are looking for enthusiastic and hard-working interns for Spring 2015. As a web intern, you'll work closely with the editors of both sites. We are a small staff juggling many duties, and we expect interns to be able to multi-task accordingly. This is not a coffee-fetching internship. Our ideal intern is driven and excited about pitching and producing stories, as well as assisting with our department's many tasks.

Responsibilities include:
-Generating story ideas
-Building and writing slideshows, articles, and blog posts on our CMS
-Brainstorming ideas for syndication
-SEO implementation
-Photo and editorial research
-Blogger and site outreach
-Assisting with social media
-And much more.

Candidates must be able to receive school credit (sorry, no exceptions) and contribute two days per week at our New York office.
