Job Description

OZY.com, a fast-growing digital magazine focusing on the new and the next in a wide range of global affairs, is looking for a full-time writer (as well as freelancers) to cover health, medicine and/or science.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable and confident developing profiles, trend stories, data-driven articles and thought pieces. We do only a handful of stories a day, so each piece needs to be a gem: relevant, well-rounded and flavorful, with a clear “Why You Should Care” element.

The candidate will ideally have extensive experience in health, medicine and/or science coverage and three to five years’ experience, overall, in journalism. Preference will be given to candidates who are willing to relocate to our headquarters in Mountain View, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley, but we may consider candidates who can’t move there, including freelancers.
