Does the idea of seeing the very latest tech—before anyone else does!—and writing about it excite you? Computer Shopper, a leading independent tech-review site owned and operated by Ziff Davis, delivers deep, lab-based reviews of cutting-edge consumer and small-business PC and Mac hardware.

We're looking for an energetic, sharp Staff Writer/Analyst or Senior Staff Writer/Analyst. (Exact title will hinge on applicant's work experience.) He or she will work alongside the editor in chief to test and review the very latest tech out of PC Labs in New York City.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-- Write & produce a minimum of 10 product reviews a month, encompassing product testing, hands-on evaluation, and photography.
-- Represent Computer Shopper at vendor meetings in-office and around New York City; generate additional product preview coverage following from these.
-- Maintain strong relationships with tech vendors and aggressively pursue acquisition of products in a competitive environment.
-- Assist, as needed, with content creation and production for seasonal and other special sections on the Computer Shopper site.
-- Assist with site QA/update tasks and e-mail newsletters.

QUALIFICATIONS
-- This is an onsite position. You must be able to work full-time in our NYC testing lab.
-- Bachelor's degree required; English, journalism, or communications grad preferred, or degree plus relevant work experience.
-- Must be able to write quickly, accurately, and cleanly, with very high attention to detail and willingness to take ongoing feedback.
-- Minimum three years' experience working for an established Web site, magazine, or newspaper. Tech experience strongly preferred, with review-writing experience a major plus.
-- A demonstrable interest in consumer technology, plus willingness to learn at a rapid pace.
-- Must be a self-starter who can prioritize and juggle multiple projects, do what it takes to hit deadlines consistently, and thrive in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment.
-- Photography skills. Candidate will be required to shoot, process, and edit product images at events/demos and generate coverage around this visual content.
-- Familiarity with online publishing platforms and willingness to learn our custom CMA to produce content efficiently.
-- Level of professionalism and maturity to meet with representatives from major tech companies for briefings, representing Computer Shopper and Ziff Davis. Occasional after-hours attendance required.
