Company Description
The Investigative Reporting Workshop, an independent nonprofit news organization based at the American University School of Communication in Washington, D.C., is looking for smart, engaged college students and recent graduates from around the country for internships in the summer of 2023. Depending on the operating status of American University, internships may be remote, in-person, or hybrid.
Job Description
Positions include researchers, data journalists, videographers, graphic designers and web producers. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. Preferred majors include journalism, communication, film, public policy, public health, history or economics.
The stipend for all positions is $20 an hour for 30 hours per week. Positions run from 7 to 10 weeks, with flexible start dates, depending on the end date of an individual student's spring semester. All IRW internships typically end by early August. Housing and transportation are not provided.
