Role Overview
We're seeking a skilled writer with a distinct voice with expertise in business, pharma/biotech, and life sciences to contribute compelling content to our bi-monthly newsletter. You'll help us highlight movers and shakers in the healthcare space, from biotech companies worth watching, to entrepreneurs that our community should know. This is a flexible, freelance position.
Key Responsibilities
-Research and write 2 short feature articles per newsletter cycle (2x per month)
-A “Proxima’s Pick” section that features a company worth watching and why
-A “Node of the Month” section that interviews innovative leaders in healthcare
Ideal Candidate
Experience: 3+ years covering biotech/life sciences from a business perspective
Background: Business and/or journalism degree preferred; must be able to demonstrate interest in healthcare and life sciences
Skills: Exceptional writing and interviewing skills; a distinct voice and sense of humor; ability to translate complex concepts into digestible and even entertaining content (think Morning Brew, Emily Sundberg’s Feed Me, or International Intrigue)
