If you are passionate about journalism, documentary filmmaking and eager to learn the ropes then this entry-level position offers you an incredible opportunity into the editorial world at FRONTLINE. Under the supervision of the Series Senior Producer and in concert with the editorial researcher, the Secretary provides direct administrative and general support to members of the editorial staff and senior management. A successful candidate should be ready to take on heavy administrative demands, but be versed in current events and ready to contribute editorially.
Responsibilities in this fast-paced work environment include travel booking, scheduling, answering phones, expense reports, filing & mailing, research, coordinating rough cuts, some database entry, drafting correspondence and assisting with the day-to-day administrative process. Working closely with the Executive Producer and Series Senior Producer this position offers an opportunity for advancement.
A candidate must be able to juggle competing demands while seeing projects through from finish to start. This person should possess an unflappable and upbeat demeanor, a take-charge attitude, and the ability to meet constant deadlines. Strong writing and copy-editing skills required.
