Job Description

Citi Velocity is the future of e-trading platforms for fixed income and equity markets. The platform provides world-class research, commentary, and color on a broad range of capital markets product areas, including credit, rates, equities, fx, commodities, and securitized structured products. Citi Velocity is currently in beta, with over 3800 internal users, and it will be rolled out to external institutional clients over before year end.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to edit and manage the flow of credit market information. We seek individuals with demonstrated credit product knowledge and editorial skills who can translate large amounts of internal information (e.g research, strategy, trading and intellectual capital within our sales and trading staff) into valuable content for our clients.
We need someone experienced in using content to gain readership and someone who can think innovatively about how we source the content and distribute it. Ideal candidates will have experience working in a newsroom, trading floor or other fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities include:
Identifying and accessing relevant credit information within the organization
Organizing and prioritizing that information to enable delivery
Consistently editing to highlight the content credit professionals value most
Defining our on-line strategy to deliver the information
Ensuring consistency/regularity of service
Ensuring quality of service
Working with information providers and users to improve the service
End-to-end delivery of stories from source to clients

Bachelors Degree
Experience in the global credit market space
3+ years of relevant experience either as a journalist or editor
Experience developing content for electronic publication
Experience and evidence of using content to increase readership
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Understanding of web-browsing and Internet use
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Work experience in financials is preferred, but not mandatory
