We are looking for a strong writer who likes interacting with people and can be intellectually intrigued by the fast-changing digital media sector. This Manhattan-based position, which reports to the CEO, is with a media services ad agency that for the last three years has been named in Crain’s New York Business as one of The Best Places to Work in NYC.

Responsibilities:
What we'd like you to do:

-- Develop and implement strategic communications plans targeting multiple audiences: current and prospective clients and employees, the advertising industry at large, IPG partner agencies, reporters and bloggers, and social media followers
-- Create press materials (Releases, Pitch Letters, Key Messages, Q&A) for external audiences, mining agency activities for what is newsworthy
-- Develop white papers and opinion pieces for press distribution highlighting unique technology advances and strategies
-- Establish and grow relationships with key reporters in the advertising/marketing industry, as well as business and lifestyle press
-- Regularly develop speaker proposals for agency executives to industry conferences and submissions for industry awards
-- Develop monthly employee newsletter, providing meaningful insight for employees into business news, company resources, ID Media’s community mission, and employee activities
-- Create content updates for public Web site, IPG newsletters, and digital bulletin boards
-- Foster community mission working closely with the employee taskforce “Caring about Cancer”
-- Edit and proofread agency communications prior to distribution
