Job Description

We're seeking a writer intern with copy-editing experience to join our editorial staff in Spring 2011! Ideal candidates should be familiar with Wikipedia-style formatting, in the current with popular blogs & internet community sites.

Some of the main responsibilities include copy-editing and verifying entries made by site users, writing new entries to our extensive database, as well as researching topical memes, histories and associated media.

This is a full-time paid internship at our SoHo (NYC) office. A minimum of a two month commitment during the months of February - May will be required.

Specific Skills:

• Strong copy-editing skills, previous experience in online publishing.
• Basic HTML skills, working knowledge in image-editing software like Photoshop.
• Ability to multi-task across the site and to prioritize with minimal direction.
• Ability to follow up with editors to ensure accurate and timely publication
