Psychology Today has an excellent opportunity for a few smart and talented editorial interns at our office in New York. We are a small staff, so you'll be a key member of the team. Duties include working closely with editors on story research and special projects, light clerical work, web-related work including HTML and data loading, and proofing copy. Interns also pitch story ideas and write articles for the magazine. They typically receive two or three bylines per issue, and some have written one- or two-page stories. Background in psychology not mandatory, but a plus. We're looking for interns who can write clear and engaging prose and have a real interest in human behavior. Must be able to juggle several tasks at once and work autonomously. Position runs August/September through December, three or more days a week. Position includes a small daily stipend.
