The CFB’s mission is to increase voter participation and awareness, provide campaign finance information to the public, enable more citizens to run for office, strengthen the role of small contributors, and reduce the potential for actual or perceived corruption.
Job Description
The NYC Campaign Finance Board (CFB), the agency responsible for running New York City’s groundbreaking public matching funds program for city elections, seeks an experienced media-relations professional to serve as Press Secretary.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
•Answering media inquiries.
•Pitching stories about the agency and its work.
•Building and maintaining relationships with media outlets interested in our work.
•Composing and editing the agency newsletter.
•Assisting with public disclosure of campaign finance information.
