Job Description

CBS News is currently seeking a spring intern to work in Newspath, the newsgathering and distribution unit for CBS News. Newspath gathers footage, edits and redistributes the video via server to CBS Network, owned stations, affiliates and contracted domestic and overseas clients. This includes national & international news, weather, sports, medicine and health reports, business and consumer news and a broad range of feature stories from around the world. Newspath has several correspondents and produces stories for owned station and affiliate broadcasts. Assignments vary day-to-day. Interns can expect to log tapes, research stories, assist during shoots and red carpet events, select footage, perform light clerical duties and assist staff members. Must have strong written and oral communication skills, must be available at least 2 full weekdays and must get credit. Internship is unpaid.
