Job Description
The Local East Village, an online news site of The New York Times, seeks a temporary listings producer to help launch its calendar of events. The producer will reach out to local theaters, music venues, art galleries, community organizations, bars and restaurants, and other businesses to create a comprehensive database of events in the East Village, and may be involved in populating the calendar thereafter depending on need. Applicant should be a college graduate with a charming and professional phone manner and excellent writing and computer skills. Accuracy and attention to detail are a must; the listings will appear on the Website of The New York Times and must adhere to Times style. The work-at-home project will pay $800 and should be delivered in two weeks.
