Haymarket is an international publisher of consumer and trade publications with offices in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Florida, Illinois and California.
Detailed Tasks: The following list of responsibilities is not necessarily exhaustive or definitive, but examples of various job tasks required for this role.
* Assist editor with putting print and Web projects (e.g., copy editing, writing news stories, writing headlines/callouts)
* Assist Web editor with daily postings and weekly e-newsletters
* Assist Web editor with updating and posting archived material
Attributes/skills: The ideal candidate will be a quick learner and have some experience with medicine and/or journalism.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as well as an eye for detail in proofreading written documents.
*The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work without constant supervision.
*Good time management and the ability to work as part of a team are prerequisites.
*Candidates should be skilled in Microsoft Word and basic HTML.
