Media Organization: Wolfgang's Vault
There’s only one place you can hear Bill Graham introduce the Allman Brothers at the Fillmore East, Muddy Waters with just an acoustic slide guitar on a hot Newport night in 1969, or the amazing richness of Count Basie and His Orchestra in 1959.
In 2003, Wolfgang’s Vault acquired master recordings from the archives of Bill Graham Presents. These live concerts were recorded at legendary venues like the Fillmore East and Winterland between 1965 and 1999.
Since then we’ve acquired over a dozen more collections - some large, some small, all of them compelling, spanning a wide spectrum of musical genres. ConcertVault.com curates these recordings for the public and creates editorial content to put them in historical and contemporary context.
Wolfgang’s Vault also owns and manages a vast collection of vintage rock memorabilia from Bill Graham’s archives, as well as the music sites PasteMagazine.com and Daytrotter.com.
Wolfgang’s Vault is looking for Editorial Interns in New York for our Concert Vault website. Concert Vault is the largest collection of live music recordings on the internet, spanning more than six decades of popular music. The site publishes music and pop culture features related to our vast archive of multimedia content.
Interns will have a wide range of responsibilities and training opportunities, including news monitoring, feature writing, web content production and social media management. The internship is perfect for detail-oriented music fanatics who want diverse experience in online editorial content production and multimedia curation, as well as the outreach required to build audiences in the current online media environment.
Editorial Interns will report to the Executive Editor, who is a graduate of NYU’s Cultural Reporting and Criticism program.
Please send a resume and cover note, including experience in online editorial and interest in music to Evie Nagy (email@example.com).
