Our goal is to enhance the lives of our readers by addressing current events, trends and hidden gems in these world-renowned neighborhoods and the greater Manhattan area. Job Description

DOWNTOWN Magazine is currently seeking editorial/online interns for the Fall and Winter 2012 season.
We are offering part-time unpaid positions in our Lower Manhattan offices.

For our editorial section, we're looking for interns who can write and report stories in the area and do research for articles in the magazine. There are also opportunities to write with a byline for the print publication.

An ideal intern will have strong writing skills, be pursuing a degree in english, journalism or a similar discipline, be comfortable writing for a variety of categories and, perhaps most importantly, motivated and willing to learn and grow.

Attractive candidates should also be comfortable with Microsoft Office, InDesign and Photoshop. Previous experience with WordPress is a major plus. Candidates should be able to provide own computer.
