Media Organization: DOWNTOWN Magazine NYC
DOWNTOWN Magazine is the quintessential lifestyle magazine with a unique mission— highlighting the transcendent and diverse culture that exists south of Canal Street, and keeping a discerning eye on fashion below Houston Street. As the first magazine to focus solely on this area of New York City, DOWNTOWN provides smart, stylish coverage of all Lower Manhattan has to offer. As the community has changed from local haven to global destination, so has DOWNTOWN. Our once street-by-street, building-by- building distribution has extended into national and international markets. We’re not just for residents anymore. Rather, we are a publication for all who see Lower Manhattan as the center of the city that is the center of the world.
Our goal is to enhance the lives of our readers by addressing current events, trends and hidden gems in these world-renowned neighborhoods and the greater Manhattan area. We wish to inform our audiences—local, national, global—about the dynamism of this prominent community. We spotlight leaders. We revisit history. We travel to public spaces and planned developments.
DOWNTOWN Magazine is currently seeking editorial/online interns for the Fall and Winter 2012 season.
We are offering part-time unpaid positions in our Lower Manhattan offices.
