Media Organization: Backstage Magazine
Backstage is the world's most trusted casting resource for actors, singers, dancers, models, comedians, writers, directors, casting directors, and more. Backstage has been helping performers land auditions and get parts for 50 years.
Backstage, the leading entertainment magazine for performing artists, is seeking editorial interns to work out of our New York office this spring.
Intern responsibilities include writing stories for Backstage.com, providing coverage of local events, and supporting the editorial staff in various capacities.
Interns should have a strong interest in writing and journalism, and previous editorial internships are a plus. Strong organizational skills and the ability to write on deadline are a must. An interest and knowledge of the arts is recommended.
To apply, please e-mail cover letter, resume, and two writing samples to Suzy Evans at firstname.lastname@example.org, with “Internship Application” in the subject line. In your cover letter, please specify when you would be available to start, how long you would be available, and how many days per week you could work.
Interns must be able to receive school credit for the internship.
