offMetro.com, recently named by Lonely Planet as one of the top 11 most reliable websites in responsible travel today, is looking for a part-time editorial intern to start in February. The right candidate will be a self-starter, able to pitch and write weekly travel posts as well as handle impromptu projects, which might range from research assignments to press trips to assisting the editor with special events, like the upcoming New York Travel Festival. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow a portfolio, gain field reporting experience, and learn from working with top writers, editors, and web developers in a fast growing online startup environment.

An oM intern will ideally be a natural communicator, know a thing or two about social media, have strong journalism skills, an interest in "green" issues, and a love of travel and NYC.
