Journalism Internship
Media Organization: Esquire, Hearst
Company Description
Hearst Magazines is one of the largest magazine publishers in the country.
Job Description
Esquire magazine is looking for a part-time editorial intern to join its digital department for the fall, starting in September. This is a very hands-on job — interns are integral to the daily upkeep of Esquire.com. You’ll be helping to produce, research, report, write, and edit stories for the site.
Journalism experience is a must, and digital journalism experience — turning engaging news around quickly, and working with tools like a CMS, HTML/CSS, Photoshop, etc. — is preferred. You should be passionate about all things news, politics, pop culture, men’s style, and food. You should also have great ideas, and it helps to have a solid judgment of what does and does not work for Esquire.com.
This is an unpaid internship for students, and interns must receive college credit and be able to come into our Manhattan office at least two full days a week.
To Apply
Email Eric Vilas-Boas (evilasboas@hearst.com) with cover letter, resume, and at least 3 clips by August 21. Please no phone calls.
