We are looking for enthusiastic interns who are ready to jump into the digital media ”pool” by way of a full cannonball - No toe dipping allowed!
The ideal interns will be card carrying science or technology geeks. Journalism experience and a solid understanding of HTML & social media are big pluses, and if you comprehend instructions and produce quality work quickly, we’ll practically throw a parade in your honor!
In exchange, we’ll give you a modest hourly wage ($15 / hour) and the nuts and bolts of new media journalism. Interns will learn strong story pitching, research, reporting, deadlines and SEO. All the experience you need to launch a successful journalism career.
If you’ve got the chutzpah and are ready for the fast paced world of digital media, drop us a line. Let us know if you are interested in the “Science Intern” or “Tech Intern” program in the subject line. We also want to know something about what makes you tick as a journalist, your best writing sample and your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org by October 1, 2013. Be sure to paste everything into the body of the email – no attachments - they annoy us. Really.
