Job Description

DOTmed News is seeking a reporter for an in-house position for our online and print news. Individuals applying for the position need not have a health care background, but should definitely have a drive to excel, an insatiable curiosity about new topics, a willingness to be a team player and the ability to deal with high pressure situations.

Individuals applying for this position should have writing experience and hold at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. They should have an attention to detail, have strong interpersonal skills and be well-spoken. Of course, writing ability should be well-developed. Candidates should also be familiar with AP style.

If hired, you'll have the opportunity to interview top executives in the health care and medical equipment field, get bylines in a nationally distributed monthly publication and carve a niche reporting in an industry that continues to boom. Articles often focus on medical equipment, health care legislation, reform and other topics of interest to C-suite executives for hospitals and health care facilities.

Job duties:

Write feature articles for our monthly magazine

Conduct interviews and create regular online articles

Travel to shows and conferences to report from location

Assist with proofreading of the magazine
Contribute ideas and suggestions to help improve the news
Other tasks as required

Benefits:
Salary: $30-$35k with merit raises considered after three months.

Workday 9-5:30 (some longer days if we're on deadline)
