Media Organization: NYU School of Law Office of Communications

Company Description

The NYU School of Law Office of Communications manages the NYU Law website and social media, and publishes admitted students materials as well as the annual magazine. We have 14 people total on the team, and our design group handles branding, posters, e-signs, etc.

Job Description

The NYU School of Law Office of Communications is hiring a graduate student to prepare a report for strategic planning purposes. The student will read/skim/consider a list of 10 or more books and perhaps a dozen articles on the transmission of ideas, why certain ideas stick, and social media and where it’s heading, and then write a report on the literature.

The report will be presented to a committee of faculty and administrators at the Law School.

Our ideal candidate is a critical thinker, strong writer, familiar with social media/marketing/branding, and interested in how ideas spread. Payment for this project will be dependent upon the hours worked, up to $1,500.

To Apply

Please send a cover letter, résumé, and writing sample or clips to Gina Rodriguez, the editorial assistant at the Office of Communications, at gina.rodriguez@nyu.edu. Interested candidates should apply immediately—we hope to fill this role by February 5th, if not sooner.
