Media Organization: Storyhunter
Storyhunter is a platform that brings video journalists and publishers together. It’s completely free to join as a freelancer. You’ll have access to commissioned assignments, an open pitching platform and easy payment solutions all on the Storyhunter platform, created specifically for video journalists and documentary filmmakers.
Storyhunter was founded to help budding video journalists and documentary filmmakers gain recognition, improve their skills, and get paid for their stories. Our editors have worked with companies like the New York Times, Bloomberg, AP, ABC, France 2, Al Jazeera and Time, and take pride in helping talented journalists and documentary filmmakers improve their craft.
As a video journalism intern, you're a part of the production team. You'll participate in all our production meetings, edit videos that come in from around the globe, as well as prepare them for publication. The internship is part-time with a commitment of two days per week during the Fall term. Join a fast-paced working environment, and experience what it's like to work for a young and growing international media company.
We are looking for a self-starter who is extremely passionate about video journalism and documentary filmmaking. Ideal candidates will have prior post-production experience, be familiar with digital production workflows and feel at home in editing timelines. Mastery of Final Cut Pro 7 and Photoshop is an absolute requirement. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere is a plus. Native Portuguese and Spanish speakers are preferred.
To apply, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org with "VIDEO JOURNALISM APPLICATION" written in the subject line, a paragraph describing your interest in the position and a resume attached. Deadline to apply is August 4, 2014.
