Journalism Internship

Media Organization: Woman's Day

Company Description

Woman's Day is a Hearst publication and one of the oldest women’s service magazines in the country.

Job Description

Woman’s Day is searching for enthusiastic fall interns to join its features department. We are looking for students working toward a degree in journalism or English, who are interested in women’s lifestyle magazines. Ideal candidates will be organized, creative, self-motivated, and passionate about the magazine.

Interns will work closely with our features team to research and brainstorm ideas for articles on personal finance, pets, women entrepreneurs, and women making a difference in their communities. Interns will also call in samples and handle reader mail.

Woman’s Day is one of the oldest women’s service magazines and staying connected with our reader base is very important. Previous relevant internship experience is preferred, but not required.

For interns with video filming and editing experience, there may be opportunities to work on our interactive issues. Please note on your resume if you have applicable experience.

To Apply

Please email applications (including a resume and brief cover letter). Applications will be reviewed and candidates notified by the first week of September. Academic credit is required.
