The service allows emerging market asset managers and advisers to assess risk, track potential market-moving events and identify trading or business opportunities in the Latin America distressed and high yield markets via a suite of web based and mobile solutions.

REDD Latin America was founded in October 2013 by Manhattan and Silicon Valley based partners with the idea of combining the latest web-based technology with emerging markets financial intelligence and data.

REDD’s team of reporters and analysts has over 10 years experience covering the Latin America high yield and distressed debt markets and is based out of Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Sao Paulo, Mexico City, New York and California.

Job Description

REDD Latin America, the leading provider of news on Latin America high yield and distressed debt, is looking to hire a motivated financial journalist to cover Mexican corporates.

The reporter will be working in tandem with a recognized industry veteran, learning the ropes in Mexico’s relationship-driven market to write reports on sub-investment grade rated corporates for our boutique financial news service serving investors, advisers and bankers operating in this space.

The ideal candidate is familiar with Mexico and fluent in Spanish with solid English language writing skills, some knowledge of finance/economics and a degree in journalism or a related field. Most important, the position requires a self-starter with an insatiable curiosity and the ability to think “outside the box” to break news on market moving events.

The candidate will initially train with REDD’s team in New York and will later relocate to Mexico City to work in tandem with our reporter there.
