Job Description

The Real Deal Magazine, New York City’s first and largest real estate-focused newsmagazine, is seeking a Deputy Web Editor to join our team in Manhattan.

The DWE will work closely with the Managing Web Editor to shape our online coverage, and will be responsible for editing several stories per day as well as making sure the website has a strong and clear voice. The DWE will also supervise certain aspects of web production, such as scheduling stories and newsletters.

The ideal candidate will have experience in business journalism and working in an online breaking news environment. The ability to edit copy quickly and accurately is a must, as is the ability to make a story sing. Experience covering real estate in major markets is a plus.

Salary is competitive and is based on experience. Benefits include health insurance, a 401-K plan and the ability to grow within the organization.
