Media Organization: Popular Mechanics
PopularMechanics.com is a website with over 6 million monthly visitors, dedicated to exploring the way the world works. It is a part of Hearst Media, one of the world's largest publishing groups.
PopularMechanics.com is looking for a detail-oriented editorial intern for its NYC office. The intern will be exposed to the digital world of writing, researching, and reaching the PopularMechanics.com audience.
Candidates should have exposure to blogging, experience interning at a website, magazine, and/or on a college publication, and be comfortable using all major social media platforms. Ideally we are seeking someone who has a strong interest in science, tech, gear, cars, or tools.
Interns will work closely with editors to gain experience in a wide variety of tasks related to publishing a daily website, and leave with a much better understanding of the inner workings of the digital arm of a major magazine brand.
If you are eligible to receive college credit, have a knack for writing and researching, want to learn about a new CMS, and are eager to see how a major media brand uses social media, please send your resume and a brief cover letter to email@example.com.
