Job Description

Surface, an art, architecture, and design magazine, is seeking fall editorial interns. We're looking for students with strong editorial and writing skills; an interest in art, design, or architecture is also a plus. English, journalism, and art history majors will probably be the best fit.

Our interns get great hands-on experience writing, copy editing, researching, and helping with social media. Interns have also received bylines in the magazine in the past. It's a small office and a great chance to work directly with editors in the industry and see what happens behind the scenes. It's an open plan office and a start-up environment, so interns have the chance to learn a lot about how the company runs.
