Company Description
Everytown for Gun Safety is the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country with more than two million supporters including moms, mayors, survivors, and everyday Americans who are fighting for reforms that respect the Second Amendment and save lives.
Job Description
The Research & Investigation Team straddles the worlds of scholarship and politics: we aspire to the rigor of academia, and data determines the positions we take, but we are also mindful of the political landscape and keenly aware of the conversations driving state and federal legislation. We deploy evidence strategically to advance evidence-based measures that will save lives.

Responsibilities:
Track shootings reported on by the press in a selection of states and conduct follow-up research with public databases, public records requests, and law enforcement contacts
Draw on public or internal databases to answer basic questions about gun violence and crime
Provide both substantive and administrative support for the conduct and dissemination of ongoing research projects and investigations
Qualifications:
Demonstrated interest in public-policy and/or political advocacy
Comfort in a fast-moving environment
Scrupulous attention to detail
A self-starter, willing to take the initiative on projects
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
