Hearst Connecticut Media Group is a group of four daily newspapers and five weekly newspapers located throughout Fairfield County. The consortium, which is owned by Hearst Newspapers and has a total circulation over 150,000, includes daily publications Connecticut Post, Stamford Advocate, Greenwich Time and Danbury News-Times. The group's weekly journals are comprised of the Darien News, New Canaan News, Westport News, Fairfield Citizen and New Milford Spectrum.
Job Description
Hearst Connecticut Media is accepting applications for summer
internships at its four daily newspapers and five weekly newspapers in Fairfield County. This is a terrific opportunity to work hands-on with some of the best editors and mentors in the business -and to produce high-quality journalism for Hearst's print and online news outlets in the New York metro area.
The 10-week program, June 6 to August 12, is designed for ambitious, inquisitive, creative college students eager for a full-time newsroom experience as reporters, photographers or online producers. Interns will be placed in news, business, sports, features, photo and web production divisions.
Internships are unpaid and must be eligible for college credit.
