The NewsHour is a daily news program hosted by Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff. For more than 40 years, millions of Americans and citizens of the world have turned to the PBS NewsHour for the solid, reliable reporting that has made it one of the most trusted news programs on television.
The News Assistant position is an entry-level program designed for recent graduates and aimed at providing practical experience in a broadcast news setting. The News Assistants are exposed to all aspects involved in producing a nightly television news program. In addition to their daily duties, News Assistants attend a series of breakfasts with various members of our organization, including correspondents, producers, and reporters.
