Job Description

Los Afro-Latinos.com is seeking a part-time writer for its blog. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, is passionate about Afro-Latino issues and proficient in WordPress and other social media platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities: Conducting interviews and writing articles 2-3 times per month for the blog, maintaining social media sites and other activities related to the blog as needed.

Location: Candidates based in New York City, NY; Philadelphia, PA, or Miami, FL are preferred.

Qualifications: Working towards a bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism. Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred), Portuguese is a plus. Two years of hands-on journalism experience. Experienced in blog writing. Proficient in MS Word, WordPress, Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) General photography skills also needed.
