Company Description

Pinebase is a new media site that will soon be launching a Chinese language version focused on providing content on overseas markets and investments to Chinese investors. We look to inform and inspire users to learn more about overseas markets. The company was founded by principals who worked at Blackstone, Morgan Stanley, Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters, State Development Bank of China and other firms.

Job Description

Pinebasecn is new media start-up, and its co-founders are looking for reporters/researchers/publishers. The site will be focused on overseas (outside of China) investment and market news. Compensation will include cash and potential equity interests in the startup. We are looking for driven, hungry, hard-working, non-ego, team-oriented people.

Writing skills are essential, but video production and editing skills, design, and basic coding skills are desired.

Candidate must have perfect ability to read and write business-formal Chinese. Candidate must be willing to currently live, relocate or temporarily stay in New York for 2-3 months to get to know the team. We are looking for someone not only who can create written and help create/edit video content, but also help grow and run the business - think a young Arianne Huffington or Rupert Murdoch.
