Job Description

Mongabay, an award-winning environmental news website, is seeking freelance reporters who have either recently been, are planning to travel to, have expertise in, or are based in one of the following countries: Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Liberia, Rep. of Congo, Dem. Republic of Congo, Guyana, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, and Brazil.

We are seeking stories from freelance journalists about the forests and forest-related issues of these countries on topics including: rights and interests of forest-dependent populations, governance, legality, REDD+, green growth, deforestation-free commodity supply chains, and more.
