Job Description

Demograf, a New York based digital media startup, is looking for staff writers to cover politics and society for a sophisticated audience.

Our society staff writers will cover issues such as civil rights, criminal justice, environmental preservation, education, healthcare, immigration, gun violence, racial relations, gender discrimination and income inequality.

As a staff writer at Demograf, your job will be to come up with inspired story ideas on a daily basis and to follow through with compulsively readable stories. To do this job well, you’ll need intellectual curiosity, a strong point of view and a knack for capturing readers’ attention.

Qualified candidates must have at least a bachelor’s degree, a demonstrated talent for writing and familiarity with the topics we cover.
