Media Organization: Marie Claire
Marie Claire is the global women’s empowerment brand connecting confident, influential and successful women. Fueling her discovery of fashion, beauty, and career, Marie Claire is committed to celebrating the richness and scope of women’s lives. A truly international brand in 26 countries, read by more than 15 million women worldwide, we reach over 10 million visitors a month online and more than 7 million followers on social media. Founded in 1937 by French industrialist Jean Prouvost and writer Marcelle Auclair, Marie Claire is the fashion magazine for women with a point of view, an opinion, and a sense of humor.
Marie Claire’s features department is looking to hire bright, detail-oriented editorial interns for the spring of 2019 (Interns would preferably start in January). Candidates must have an interest in career news, international women’s news, entertainment/culture, and relationships. This is NOT a fashion internship.
The internship experience includes shadowing features editors while they put together upcoming issues, and learning how to research, report, pitch, write and transcribe interviews for a national magazine. We’re looking for interns who can work two days a week. The internship is unpaid and all applicants must be able to receive school credit.
To apply please send your resume, cover letter, and any relevant clips to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject “Spring 2019 Features Internship.” Please include your availability. Applications accepted through 11/27.
