Journalism Job

Media Organization: HealMeToo Festival

Company Description

The HealMeToo Podcast will be hosted by Hope Singsen, an artist-activist, a researcher of creativity, embodiment and neuroscience, and the Founder and Artistic Director of NYC's first HealMeToo Festival next spring. This festival will present multi-disciplinary performances, panels and workshops to create an intersectional space for conversation, learning and laughter that sparks resilience and growth.

The HealMeToo Podcast will launch in January and drop weekly episodes through the festival, which runs March 27-April 15 at the IRT Theater. Each episode in Season One will center a different modality of personal or cultural healing from sexual violence. Episodes will feature living-room-studio interviews with experts as well as recordings of live panel discussions with celebrated guests at the HealMeToo Festival. Topics will include direct action activism; movements for cultural change, such as restorative or transformative justice; leading edge therapeutic advances; trauma-informed movement/dance or yoga; the neurobiology of trauma and recovery; spirituality and mindfulness practice; and healing through the creative arts.
