We present the work and ideas of the world’s most interesting and influential architects and designers through lectures, exhibitions, and publications, in print and online. We identify and encourage talented young designers through competitions, grants, exhibitions, and publications. And we help shape the future of our built environment by stimulating debate and provoking design thinking about the critical issues of our time.

Job Description

The Architectural League seeks a motivated and self-directed intern to serve as Project Assistant for Urban Omnibus. The Project Assistant plays an integral part in a small editorial team committed to interdisciplinary exploration of design and the built environment in New York City.

Responsibilities extend across all aspects of the monthly digital publication, and include editorial support, research and development of new features and special projects, and communications and audience building. Working for Urban Omnibus is a great opportunity to develop wide-ranging editorial experience and exposure to developments in contemporary architecture and urbanism. The Project Assistant will also engage with the Architectural League’s full range of programming.

The ideal candidate will have strong writing and editorial skills, and a demonstrable interest in architecture and urbanism. Experience in graphic design, mapping, or audiovisual documentary production are a plus.
