Company Description

Job Description

This opportunity is to take the skills you have developed and apply them to actual research, interviews and feature writing. You will have an opportunity to write between 10-15 pieces, including features and profiles. They will be published in a magazine style journal.

This is ideal for a person who has an interest in science and health writing, specifically Global Health, however, anyone is welcome to apply. This will be our inaugural Global Health issue, it will have a wide domestic and globally.

The most important aspect of your skill set should be storytelling. We want the writing to have your stamp on it, to be told from your perspective. You will conduct interviews and research for each piece and find your own angle. We want you to compile the global health field experiences of researchers and clinicians.

Can your writing take a reader to a country you have never been to?

No travel will be required, you will conduct the interviews over the phone, so please feel comfortable and be prepared for any limitation that may come with this type of communication.

This can be completed remotely, any editorial meeting can be completed via Skype or over the phone.

To Apply

1. Please apply with samples that demonstrate your storytelling, minimum 3 maximum 6. If you have any profiles of people or human interest stories those would be great examples. As well, any pieces that demonstrate your ability to conduct research would be helpful in our decisions making.
2. In addition- please send a short write up (max 500 words) about your approach to time management for research, interviewing, writing and editing.
