Job Description

WHO WE WANT: A motivated journalist to cover the medical diagnostics industry. The preferred candidate will be familiar with the healthcare and medtech industries and have reporting experience covering business and/or finance, such as financial results, alliances, and M&A activity, on either a daily basis or in real time. Familiarity with molecular diagnostics, companion diagnostics, and personalized medicine is a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Your primary responsibility will be producing feature content and news briefs for our website. You will delve into industry trends, new technology development, regulatory issues, reimbursement, legislation, policy issues, and general business coverage of the firms operating in the diagnostics market. You will be expected to quickly learn about the industry and the variety of issues facing diagnostics developers, clinical labs, and physicians. You also will be expected to develop sources in the industry, and you will be required to attend a few conferences and/or trade shows each year.
