Media Organization: WatchTime Magazine

Company Description

WatchTime was founded in New York City in 1999 by Ebner Media Group of Ulm, Germany. Ebner is a diversified publishing company and Europe’s leading publisher of consumer watch magazines. WatchTime has sister magazines in Germany, China, Mexico, Turkey, Hungary, Poland, Korea, Japan, China and India.
WatchTime is written for those who are interested in fine wristwatches and covers all aspects of the industry: the watches themselves, the companies and countries that manufacture them, and the community of watch lovers who design, manufacture, wear and appreciate them. WatchTime is published bi-monthly by a staff of American and European watch journalists and watch experts.

Job Description

We are looking for a new member to join us in New York to work on content for the magazine, the website, social media, and other channels. We are a small team that does big things and have a flat organizational structure. So, depending on your skills and experience, we can basically offer you the full range of content disciplines, from supporting senior staff to covering new product releases, reviews and conducting interviews to writing features for the magazine and covering events.
You definitely don't need to be a watchmaker or heavy-weight watch collector, but a passion for watches, mechanics, lifestyle etc. is highly valued. Huge plus if you already maintain your own blog or active social media page and know how to work with a camera. In short, we are looking for someone who lives and breathes great, engaging content, wants to work in a fully integrated print and digital multi-discipline team and grow with us.

- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Social media savviness
- Beginner/Intermediate proficiency with Photoshop (photo cropping/editing)
- Experience with WordPress a plus
- Basic SEO understanding
