Spectrum's [https://www.spectrumnews.org/] award-winning news team is looking for an energetic articles editor to knock out stories that inform, challenge and inspire our deep-thinking audience of scientists.
This is an excellent opportunity for a science journalist to make an impact on the exciting field of autism.
You will be responsible for editing all news and opinion on the site, as well as the team's fast-paced coverage of autism and neuroscience at conferences around the world.You have a firm grasp of genetics, cognition and behavior, research ethics and molecular neuroscience. You are highly organized, have an obsessive attention to detail and are bursting with ideas to seed stories for this dynamic team. You are able to deliver sparkling clean copy on short deadlines and can juggle multiple shifting priorities and deadlines.
Spectrum is funded by the Simons Foundation but is editorially independent.
Bring at least five years of experience to the table - preferably with experience in digital journalism - a solid biology background and impeccable news judgment.
