TheWeek.com is looking for a voracious writer with exceptional news judgment to join its fast-growing, award-winning site.

This staff writer will work Saturday through Wednesday. On weekdays, this person will be a core part of our breaking news team -- contributing throughout the day to our "Speed Reads" and "Briefings" sections. On the weekend, this person will run all of our news coverage, including our homepage and newsletters.

This individual should be a confident, highly organized news junkie who can write clean, engaging, concise copy with little editing -- and someone who can work successfully in the fast-paced environment of a breaking news-and-opinion website. Versatility, creativity, and wit are critical, as are a passion for the news and a great attitude.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative self-starter eager to join one of the sharpest and hardest-working teams in our industry.
