Forkast.News (www.forkast.news) is a digital media platform covering blockchain and emerging technologies at the intersection of business, economy, and politics. From Asia, to the world.
Since our founding in 2018, our proposition has been different: to bring credible journalism and deep-dive analysis into this emerging space. Emerging technology and digital transformation will re-shape our world, and we speak to an audience of professionals and corporate professionals who are interested in the bigger picture of blockchain, digital assets, and web 3.0. Today, Forkast.News serves as an end-to-end media ecosystem bridging the blockchain community and a Fortune 500 audience.
Forkast.News has become the authority voice in Asia in providing a global perspective on blockchain, partnering with organizations like OECD, EY, IBM, Swire, and the UN General Assembly to lead the most important conversations on blockchain regulation, financial inclusion, digital innovation, and industry impact.
Based in Hong Kong, Forkast.News supports a growing team across Asia, Europe, and the U.S. The team is led by Editor-in-Chief Angie Lau, a 20+ year veteran journalist most recognized for her role as Bloomberg TV's lead anchor in Asia, with her flagship morning show "First Up with Angie Lau."
Forkast.News is hiring a Social Media Freelancer/Intern to join our growing editorial team. This is an opportunity to work closely with our social media lead to build engagement with our audience across multimedia channels for print, video, and podcast. This role will be cross-functional and gain exposure to many aspects of content production, editorial, graphic design, and audience engagement.
Forkast.News speaks to an audience of professionals and corporate decision-makers who are interested in developing a point of view on blockchain technology, digital assets, and web 3.0. You do not need to be an expert in blockchain or crypto, but any interest or background is a strong bonus – there will be many opportunities to gain experience and access to what's happening in blockchain, crypto, and digital transformation. Having the curiosity and drive to get a better understanding of how an audience wants to engage with content is key.
Freelancers are encouraged to apply. For students, this role can also be an internship for the fall and winter semesters. The position is remote, and applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
