Company Description

Since 1919, the New York Daily News has been serving the working people of New York. Our mission is to deliver the truth every day. Job Description

The New York Daily News is seeking part-time interns to cover breaking local news. This is not an office-based or work-from-home job. You will be learning the basics of shoe leather reporting, talking to witnesses and grieving families in person, covering court appearances and funerals, and also creatively mining social media and online databases to uncover leads. You will be expected to email clear well-written notes on tight deadlines and will likely end up getting bylines on front page stories! You will also be encouraged to pitch feature stories.
