Media Organization:Interview Magazine
Affectionately nicknamed “The Crystal Ball of Pop,” Interview is Andy Warhol’s magazine established in 1969.
Interview has, for the past half-decade, been built on a simple conceit: put two interesting people together and turn on a tape recorder. The publication of today unifies the best of Interview’s many eras — the film journal of the ’70s, the society rag of the ’80s, the Hollywood-obsessed monthly of the ’90s and aughts, and the fashion glossy of the teens—while making it feel fresh and alive and un-put-downable for the readers
Interview is looking for an assistant to the Editor in Chief, Mel Ottenberg. The perfect candidate is organized and detail obsessed, with an interest in pop culture.
-Maintain and organize the Editor in Chief’s calendar
-Schedule meetings, events, and travel
-Attend all editorial meetings and take detailed notes
-Prepare PDFs and dossiers for the Editor in Chief to review
-Help ensure the Editor in Chief is up to date on their tasks for the magazine, including daily updates and reminders
-Help organize and maintain the Interview office
-Support with the administrative duties of the entire editorial team
-Assist in managing the Editor in Chief’s expenses
-Help maintain social media profiles and calendar
-1-3 years of experience as an assistant in the world of art, fashion and/or media
-Keen organizational skills and the ability to calmly handle multiple tasks at once.
-Strong communication skills
-Experience with Adobe, G Suite, Microsoft, and Zoom
